Blog Writing #15: Passive Modals (due Friday 6/22)

Think about ONE problem that exists in your country. In your opinion, what should be done to correct it? What shouldn't be done? What could or could not be done? What must or must not be done? Try to use a variety of passive modals when describing the solutions to your problem.

    In my opinion, Saudi Arabia has a problem with export goods and service to the world.

    Gross national product(GNP) in Saudi Arabia shouldn't be depended on oil only. It could be had more source to support the GNP. I think GNP ought to be supported by other industries to be more effective and efficiency.However, Saudi government must be found other product to export beside the oil.

    The flood and landslide are the problems of Taiwan. Recently, the rain season is coming, some places are easy to get flood and landslide. The places of flood and landslide are raised gradually every year. Those places should be set up protecting areas by the government of Taiwan. They should be prohibited to build building or entertainments. Some of mountain must not be planted betel palms. The drainage of flooding areas must be resorted. Some of areas could not be dug sand and soil any more. On the other hand, those places could be planted trees.

    In my country we are ruled by ''democracy'', but in my opinion it is not what it is.

    When someone is involved in manifestations, which are about the mistakes and unfulfilled promises of the government, they are beat and their families threaten; when the media wants to show the people what is really behind the government, what is really been made they are silenced and oppressed; it shouldn't be like that. After all are we or not, people democratically governed?

    The angolan people should be able to choose their president, their voices must be listened, their opinions should be considered, we should have freedom of speech.

    One of the biggest problems in Mexico is the corruption, Mexico needs a political party fully committed in the fight against corruption.

    But this is something that has been practiced from centuries ago, I think parents and elder should inculcate more ethic and honesty values in their children, because everything could be repaired from a beginning.

    Terrorism is one of many problems in Turkey. Soldiers, polices, or civils have been being killed by PKK for more than 30 years. Butchers want to establish a Kurdish State in the east of Turkey. This terror can be stop by Turkish goverment easily but there are some hidden powers that do not let Turkish Goverment to finish terrorism. The endiest news about terrorism is last week. 8 soldiers have been killed by PKK. After this attack, 16 terrorists have been killed by Turkish Soldiers. I hope, these problems can be solved by turkish soldiers as soon as they can and many mothers of soldiers will not cry at all.
