Blog Writing #12: Modals of Past Certainty (due Monday)

Sal and Moe were absent from class today. What an interesting coincidence. I wonder where they were.  Can you guess with some degree of certainty?

    They might have taken the day off to go to KSA and Moe may have lost his flight that's why he didn't make it

      You think they MUST HAVE BEEN WATCHING a soccer game? Do you mean that they would have missed a valuable class to watch a ball being kicked around? Unbelievable!

      Yes, and they will definitely have to go back to their consulate to ask for a ticket home when they get dropped from my class due to absences...

    Moe may have been meeting Barack Obama second time (I guess). However, I saw Barack Obama in Live program Television. Moe couldn't have met him.
    Sal might have been dating with his girlfriend.
